ACES

Since 1999, the GSA has managed the ACES policy and program for secure logical access and enabling legally binding digital signatures for Federal, State and Local Agencies. Now approaching the tenth anniversary, ACES is going strong; with multiple Federal, State and Local agencies conducting electronic transactions with thousands of businesses. The ACES program supports a government-wide approach, because an ACES digital certificate can be relied upon by any state or federal agency.

ECA certificates are the Department of Defense’s only solution for guaranteeing authenticity of users to remotely access DoD systems. When DoD systems are targeted over a million times a day, they turn to ECA certificates to assure that the right contractors can access the right systems at the right time.
