RosettaNet Selects Identrus to Provide Members Secure Digital Certificates
RosettaNet Member Companies Can Now Use Identrus Digital Certificates to Implement Secure e-Business with Trading Partners

Identrus™, a global provider of trusted identity solutions, and RosettaNet, the technology industry's leading e-business standards consortium, announced today that RosettaNet has chosen Identrus to provide digital identity certificates to its global base of member companies. RosettaNet consortium members can now use Identrus digital identity credentials to streamline the digital certificate purchase, implementation and maintenance processes required for secure e-business transactions.

Identrus' digital certificates combined with identity authentication services create the strong level of trust required by all trading communities. The Identrus offering provides RosettaNet members with more confidence in the identification of their trading partners and the security of transactions between the two.

"RosettaNet users often struggle with the implementation of digital certificates in their e-business applications. For new users, it is not always clear what type of certificate to buy and who to purchase it from, which can result in technical delays and interoperability issues. Even experienced implementers can undergo production down-time due to expiring certificates in their trading partner network," said Paul Tearnen, Vice President of Standards, RosettaNet. "Through our partnership with Identrus, RosettaNet members will now have a reliable, trusted source of digital certificates, capability to manage expirations and renewals, and technical support when needed."

"The partnership between Identrus and RosettaNet is an important one. Companies implementing RosettaNet's XML-based e-business processes are concerned about data security and the potential for fraud. Identrus' world-class authentication and security services provide the necessary protection," said Karen Wendel, CEO, Identrus. "Our partnership with RosettaNet accelerates the utilization and ubiquity of Identrus digital certificates across the world."

Digital certificates will be made available to RosettaNet Partners through the RosettaNet website at www.rosettanet.org. The website will also provide implementation guidance and certificate management services that will facilitate the renewal and partner notification processes.
