Netscape Navigator Certificate Chain Download Instructions

Before you can use your digital certificate, you must install the Root Certificate Chain in your Netscape browser. Print these Instructions, and then select the link below to install the Root Certificate Chain in your browser.

Install Netscape Navigator Root Certificate Chain File.

Follow these instructions as you navigate through each window.

Note: When you select, "Install Netscape Navigator Root Certificate Chain File," if the message, "The Certificate you are trying to download already exists in your database" displays you have already installed the root. You do not need to install it again.

Window and beginning dialog text	Action
1. "You are about to go through the process of accepting a Certificate Authority..."	1. Click Next.
2. "A Certificate Authority certifies the identity of sites on the internet...	1. Click Next.
3. "Here is the certificate for this Certificate Authority..."	1. Click Next.
4. "Are you willing to accept this Certificate Authority...?"	1. Place checks in all three boxes. 2. Click Next.
5. "By accepting this Certificate Authority, you have told Netscape..."	1. Click Next. (Do NOT check the box)
6. "You have accepted this Certificate Authority. Please enter a short name.."	1. In the "Name:" box, type DST Root CA X1 2. Click Finish.

The Root Certificate Chain installation is complete!
